My thoughts exactly. I dont lend money to friends or anyone. We give what we can. Also great point regarding living paycheck to paycheck. Hate the feeling. Working for 8yrs already, 5yrs in PH, about 3yrs here in DXB, with a high paying job but only started this year to truly save for ourselves. Of course for those initial years it was for giving back to parents and give them a comfortable house and transportation. This time para naman sa akin at sa family and future that we are building.
Ofw for 17 years. I joined a coop. Savings for parking money. Interest is tax free. Fixed deposit for loans.Unlike banks, meron cyang share capital. Benefits: di ka maka abala ng ibang tao if u need cash.

Ja, I think it is good to also say, kahit self inflicted ang magpautang it is also a blessing dahil we are able to help a friend in need. Sabi sa Deutoronomy 15 If there is a poor man among your brothers in any of the towns of the land that the LORD your God is giving you, do not be hardhearted or tightfisted toward your poor brother.
SELF INFLICTED INJURY?? 🙂 lol funny but true!!! – One thing to consider with that is…only lend an amount na kaya mong mawala sa iyo. The worst thing you can expect is di ka mabayaran, then relationships will be ruined. So kung ang amount na yun ay extra, and you wont lose sleep over it pag di ka mabayaran then, go ahead lend money. If not, hayaan mo na silang magtampo (temporarily) but refuse to lend that money.
janice, sabi mo last time nawala iyong video files mo. bakit hinde mo gawin automatic back up sa online site like dropbox? ginawa ko ito sa mga important files ko lang at apple icloud iyong gamit ko. iyong mga videos at pictures, multiple devices/computers ang gamit ko.
