After bills I have nothing left. 😢 less than $100. If my bills comes lower than usual than yea. I just canceled my gym membership and another subscription. Life is hard over here
As usual, great video! Glad I found your content to help me with my debt freedom journey. Always transparent and to the point, which is what I need right now. Thanks again! 😊
Thanks for the video, luv the simplicity from this channel. My goal this year is to save to move out/emergency fund to have once I move in to my first place!
This is so true. I realized I was paying max amounts on my cards and didn't have an allowance, gas or groceries listed 😦 soooo that led to more charges…Now I am more aware and have a better understanding!
This video is literally the perfect roadmap to financial success. Not long and complicated, just a guide of realistic steps to get you where you need to be. I LOVE this channel. Even though I'm in a good place financially, I still lean on content like this to keep me motivated and debt free. Fantastic job!
Been shaving off some credit card debt since I learned of my pregnancy back in June (my first kiddo 🫶🏾). Def using my tax refund and annual bonus to pay my cards off. My mom was also gracious enough to invite me back home since I’ll be moving back South to be closer to my family, so I’ll be using those 3-6 months of being blessed to live rent free to pay off the remaining $6k on my auto loan.
Paying off my car and cards will put $700/mo back in my pocket and I anticipate another pay raise (studying to sit for my CompTIA Security+ certification) before the baby gets here in February. So Lord willing, all I’ll have left to pay is my student loans (yay grad school 🥲 lol).
Also setting up sinking funds using some of my bonus money so I can better separate my finances and I’ve opened up a 529 College Savings Account—Roth IRA next once I max out my 401(k) contributions.
Wishing you all the best for the remainder of 2022 and all of 2023–we got this!
The best saying I’ve heard for number 4 is water your own grass. Someone else’s grass may be greener etc but you stay fertilising and caring for yours that’s all that matters put your energy into yours! And it makes so much sense 👏
I realized that changing my perspective on savings has really helped. Instead of thinking of it as restriction on spending, I look at it as I’m paying myself and not someone else (future me will be glad I did this) etc. it might be silly but something as small as changing my perspective really helped me meet my savings goal. Love the advice in this video! ❤️
Another great video! I think it is great so many individuals have goals 2023 already. This weekend I am going to have ponder what opportunities I want to accomplish. Instead of one big vague goal, I might have to break it down into separate and smaller goals. I just hope there is no major life events in 2023. Since Covid, early 2020, life has been very challenging with work and my personal life.
My goal is by February meet my 3-6 months emergency and then work on my two medical debts. Today was payday for me and I felt so organized allocating all my money to my cash envelopes 😊 the tip about social media and minding your business is so true. I don’t watch a lot of peoples stories and I deleted the Facebook app off my phone. Social media can definitely make you feel like your behind when you see other peoples victories
I’ve already done my budget for 2023 ( all 12 months) 😂. Now that I’m officially debt free I’m going to focus on building my emergency fund and I’m so excited that if I get a bonus this year I get to keep it and not put it to debt. 😌. I’ve put every bonus I’ve gotten to debt for at least the last 4 years. I paid off $62,000 of student loans and $20,000 on my new to me car. Debt freedom is amazing. Cars drive different when they are paid for. 🙂
I am becoming consumer Debt Free in 2023 and I will be setting up my 3-6 month Expense fund!! I can't wait to see progress for the first time in my life in my personal finance.
