Charles Schwab checking accounts do not charge foreign transaction fees and also will refund ATM fees for you provided you document them and keep receipts
Never exchange in the airport if you can avoid it.
I got a Schwab account, and it's great, they refund all fees. It's the best one I found. Capital One bank account was similar, but there are some things they don't refund.
Many CCs don't charge international fees.
Good idea to take more money when the rare increases. I wish I did so last year when it was 38-1. The norm is usually around 30 -1, so at 34.8 (at the time of writing) aint too bad.
Bolt is best if you need a taxi. Motobike taxis are good for short distances but they can be a bit risky here in BKK at times. Not sure how taxis are over there, but here in BKK they dint always like to put the meter on and rather quote you a price, not always the best price either.
Btw Bolt is usually cheaper than Grab.
In Pattaya, the Baht bus is a good means of transport as are your legs 😁. Herr in BKK the MRT (subway) snd BTS (skytrain) are pretty good for getting around town. Also we have boat taxis. I've heard it been said Bangkok is like the Venice of Asia 😁
Are there sharks in Thailand? Reason I ask is the weather is very similar to Florida and that is the place for the most shark bites in the world I'm pretty sure. Either in the world or in the U.S.
