  1. I find it very interesting that so many people pay for Amazon Prime for free shipping, I've never had prime and while I probably only buy from Amazon 3 to 4 times a year, I have never paid for shipping. I think it is like $35 you have to spend for free shipping on Amazon. When there is something, I can't get locally that I need to get on Amazon usually it is something that already qualifies for free shipping, and if it doesn't I can add an item I was going to buy locally to my order to hit that target. Usually, Amazon will give me the get it faster with Amazon Prime, but I don't need to save that day in shipping.

  2. I disagree about Amazon Prime. I don't necessarily care about getting something delivered in 2 days. I do care about the free shipping. I don't want to pay $6, 8, 10+ shipping fees on something that costs less than that. Also, I do like Prime Video, I get free Amazon music instead of paying for Spotify or other music streaming services, I get free books on my Kindle with Prime reading – books that are not available at my library, I get one free Kindle book/month and Prime photos, I can get my iphone pics put right into prime photos for free storage, delete the pics on my iphone/icloud and free up storage on my phone. Also with 2 kids in college, who don't have cars, I can have things delivered to them if they run out of it before they come home again. with 4 people using the Prime account in our family, it's definitely worth the price for us.

  3. Money saving tip i wish i would have learned sooner – how simple and easy investing can be and setting up an investing acct. Then instead of spending here and there, i would have been investing in ME and MYSELF. i'm 59 and wish i knew sooner.

  4. We have amazon Prime. We do appreciate the free delivery, but it’s our only streaming service. We dont have cable, or pay for Netflix, hulu, Disney etc. so prime is worth it for us. I do appreciate all your good tips. We are trying to live below our means, and we have canceled subscriptions, eating at home, meal planning, grocery pickup. I love your idea about the tools. Unfortunately my husband has EVERY tool, he doesn’t like to borrow. He is the one everyone goes to when they need to borrow. 😂

  5. Unit Pricing !! I never pay more that $2.00 lb for ground chicken, nor more than $3.50 -$4.00 per lb for meat, bananas, apples, oranges, real food! Eggs, pasta, rice, beans, frozen veggies, cheese, greek yogurt, I buy freshly reduced meat and freeze, spending $50 a week for 2 of us. Eating very well! Unit pricing is key to find lowest cost on the items I buy.

  6. I’m disabled and can’t drive. I get upset every time you make statements that don’t think about different situations. Elderly would also be in a similar position.

  7. I will pay for grocery delivery all day long. It is worth it to me for someone to shop and bring it to me so I can be getting other things done around the house. Ideally I would pick up, because having someone else shop really saves us money, but remembering to pick up is just more mental load that I don't need at this point in my life.

  8. Renter insurance usually was around $10-15 a month to get and saved me in so many situations. It sometimes covers your car rental too so just look into that. Having an insurance broker or agent has saved me THOUSANDS.
