The whole lot it is advisable find out about pesos earlier than you journey to Mexico! On this video, I am sharing my finest recommendation about utilizing …
Question, I haven't been to Mexico since 2013 to visit family. Ik once on the plane you have to declare the amount you have. I have way less than than the maximum being 10k USD or it's equivalent. I have my money before via my bank before going, now my question is when I go through Mexican customs, do I need to worry at the airport about customs shaking me down for money?
I am visiting Mexico next month so from your video it sounds like I should only bring cash for tipping, but I can use my debit card for everything else. What I didn’t quite understand was it sounds like I have to choose whether or not my card is gonna convert to USD. Could you explain that a little bit more when I’m using my debit card?
Regarding ATMs: I second her thought about using only a bank's ATM. I was in Portugal and I tried to withdrawal cash from a random stand-alone ATM on the street. After I put in my PIN, it ejected my card and told me it was out of service. When I received my bank statement the following month, I found that a whole bunch of small withdrawals had been made using my card somewhere in the Middle East. Thankfully, I was able to prove that I was nowhere near the Middle East on the withdrawal dates, and I got my money back.
The coins called pesos too? Are they considered a smaller denomination than the bills? I am confused because I got some popcorn in. It said it was 89 pesos and so I gave a one dollar coin and the lady looked at me funny and then I just gave her a bill that said 100 pesos and then she gave me some change back.
OMG, after all these years I finally have a use for the tiny calculator I carry in my purse. I''m impressed everyone casually talks about street food. I also watch some China vids and they continually report that the street food is not safe.
Hola Aly! Something that you should have mentioned that is helpful to potential visitors. The $20 and $50 peso bills are printed on polymer plastic making them waterproof for swimming in the ocean and to the pool bar! Buena suerte!
And more important venmo is not available in Mexico so please always bring some cash if you really want to tip someone cause saying venmo it seems like you really don’t want to pay or be grateful. Thank you for your attention and welcome to México
When I use a random ATM in Mexico, I got scammed for a few thousand dollars extra that they took out. So yes, that part is very true.
Better idea… Don't go to Mexico. The scammers and corruption are off the charts. Spend your money else where

what is the point of a voluntary conversion fee at the ATM's? Why would you knowingly accept?

They now have 20 peso coins and they closely resemble the 10 peso ones so you have to make sure you check them.
