I only go twice a year to get a "complete" recut of my hair style (slight shaggy pixie) – I just trim my bangs & use a special comb from the beauty store to freshen up my layers (Hubby helps with the electric razor to clean up the back – the same razor that use to cut his hair & been doing that for about 20+ years!) We use one special credit card for our trips, extra large purchases & medical co pays to earn extra points – then get gift cards for us and gifts I maintain a good pantry /freezer for cooking at home. Definitely love to cook & still go out to eat at least 1-2 times a week (moved to a new area so we are slowly trying new places to find our regulars!) We don't care to fly & prefer to drive. We use a hotel membership to get lower rates & extra perks at a chain we like. I use store e-coupons at my local grocery store along with store savings. Along with clearance racks for meat, bakery & misc items – this saves me around at least 1-2k or more each year. Shop at estate sales, thrift stores & consignment shops for clothes, household items, garage stuff, shoes,….
I knew ppl who were saving 800$ a month but now they save at least 500-600$ a month. Anything under that is depressing💯 I feel sorry for ppl who only save $300 a month💔
I do love this, but also we’re already doing all of this (we don’t eat out basically ever anymore and I’ve gotten my nails and hair each done once in my life, and that’s the extent of my out-of-house beauty experience 😂)
You need to make more monet to save .you can save alot trying to pay bills and put away .I save my ones & quarters from change I get .bundle the ones and roll the quarters .I put it into savings .
I truly admire the quality and warmth of this channel! The way you share financial wisdom is not only practical but also so inspiring 💡💖. Thank you for creating content that helps people feel empowered and hopeful!
Hi! Genuinely curious 🙂 do you also have digital banks in the US where your savings can earn interest on a daily basis and gets credited on a daily basis as well plus you get the chance to boost it when you join promos? Thank you!
Loved these tips! I definitely try to do cheap or free kids activities and I have been enjoying hand me down clothes from family for my daughter. I definitely want to go thrift shopping more for clothes whenever needed. – Janis
Ashlynne is right — saving doesn’t have to be complicated, it’s about being consistent with smart moves. Money Mind Mastery by David Caige really drove that home for me by showing how financial success starts in your mind before it shows in your bank account. The book is packed with strategies to build discipline and remove limiting beliefs about money. If this video motivated you, that book will take it to another level.
Great advice here! But what really clicked for me was when I combined practical tips like these with mindset strategies from Money Mind Mastery by David Caige. The book breaks down how your beliefs and habits around money either hold you back or set you free. Once I applied both, saving and investing felt natural instead of forced. Highly recommend reading it alongside videos like this.
I love how Ashlynne keeps it simple and actionable — that’s exactly the approach in Money Mind Mastery by David Caige too. It’s not just about hacks, it’s about building a money mindset that actually lasts. The book showed me how to combine discipline with smart habits so I could save and grow my money faster. Watching this video while applying the book’s principles is like doubling your advantage.
This video is proof that small consistent changes with money lead to big results. Money Mind Mastery by David Caige takes that idea further by teaching how to shift your entire relationship with money. It helped me stop stressing about finances and start seeing money as a tool instead of a problem. If you like these tips, that book is the perfect next step.
These money-saving tips are super practical, and they reminded me of Money Mind Mastery by David Caige. That book dives deep into how your mindset with money matters just as much as the tactics. It explains how to rewire the way you think about spending, saving, and building wealth so you stop sabotaging yourself. Pairing these kinds of tips with that book gave me a whole new perspective.
This was so helpful Ashlynne! One question; a category I struggle with knowing how to save money in is crafting/art/hobbies- any advice on how to still enjoy being creative without purchasing more craft supplies that just add up over time?
Random thought: you are matching my 2 month old today lol. I absolutely love that color, I honestly need some for myself haha. Anyways love your videos and thank you for sharing this, been very stressed out because of my credit card interest

So jealous of your thrift store
Please pray for me for my finances. I have troubles and asked a bank for a loan. Pray that I can get it if it is Gods will. Thank you 💖💞
